Colin and I traveled to London by train early one September morning. We arrived early and spent the day exploring The British Museum and surrounding area. In the evening I read with five other Norwich based poets and friends and six Tonbridge poets at The Poetry Society Café. What a brilliant lot of poets and poems.

During the evening Paul McGrane, Membership Manager of the Poetry Society told me I had been commended in The Poetry Society Stanza Competition, and could I keep it a secret until October 2nd! It was hard to contain the news but I did. See the poem and the winning poems on my links page.

I also have three poems on display with collaboration with some great artists and other poets at The Greenhouse Cafe, Norwich. I have to say the theme was right up my street as I’m a keen conservationist. (While I was in London I photographed several pigeons with mutated feet; the odd things we do!)

I’m now trying to organize readings for my new collection ‘Notes from The Balcony’ and will update my ‘books page’ soon, maybe when this wretched cold/flu virus starts to fade a little and I'm not sniffing and dizzy …
