I was born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, and live in Cromer on the Norfolk coast. My work has ranged from sewing buttons on cardigans to working as a lab technician in an all-girls school. After gaining a BSc (Hons) with the Open University I settled to teach Environmental Studies at Outdoor Centre's in Norfolk.

I have three Diplomas in Creative Writing (poetry, adv. fiction and adv. poetry with distinction) and a PGC in Poetry with the University of East Anglia.

I have written many reviews, been published in numerous magazines, anthologies and placed in various competitions including Poetry News, Amethyst Review, Truth Serum Press and  feature poet in Orbis, and shortlisted for the Littoral Press Nature Poetry Collection Prize, 2019. 

My poetry collections are:  Something and Nothing  (February 2011) and Notes From The Balcony (October 2014) both with Indigo Dreams Publishing and Judy, out of the Box (2020) Dempsey and Windle.

My historical romance novel 'The Devil's Throat' paperback is available from Amazon and Amazon Kindle books. As is my indie children's picture book, 'Our Goose'.
