I was born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. I moved to the Norfolk coast at age 18. My work has ranged from sewing buttons on cardigans to working as a lab technician in an all-girls school. After gaining a BSc (Hons) with the Open University I settled to teach Environmental Studies at outdoor centres in Norfolk.

I have three Diplomas in Creative Writing (poetry, adv. fiction and adv. poetry with distinction) and a PGC (first) in Poetry with the University of East Anglia.

My poetry has been published in numerous magazines, anthologies and placed in various competitions including Poetry News, Envoi and  feature poet in Orbis. I write reviews for Reach Poetry Magazine.

My poetry collections are:  Something and Nothing  (February 2011). and Notes From The Balcony (October 2014) both with Indigo Dreams Publishing.
